Mr. James Sungmin Kang has been in the practice for the last 7 years. James was born in South Korea and came to Canada as an international student when he was 12 years old. His passion towards the immigrants and newcomers came naturally as he went through the immigration process himself like many other applicants. After years of study and experience in the engineering field, James decided to take a different route in his career pathway and become a member of ICCRC, a former immigration regulator prior to CICC. He established his immigration consulting firm – H & G Immigration Consulting – in Alberta in 2016 and expanded his operation to Halifax in 2018. James holds both immigration licenses and foreign worker recruiter licenses in several provinces to represent both local businesses and foreign workers from inside Canada and overseas to facilitate both ends of the processes. With his in-depth understanding of the current labour market in Canada as well as the immigration programs, he provides seminars on different immigration pathways as well as guidance on workforce management to various stakeholders.
